Name the job before opening a pricing page

Carrd and Framer remain the first-site pair on this publication: a compact page versus a visual site with CMS collections. This guide adds two later jobs from vendor documentation. Webflow is another option for a custom-domain site or CMS. Shopify is the commerce step when the page must sell products. Neither price nor an affiliate term ranks those products.

This is a documentation-based comparison recaptured 2026-09-15. We have not built the same project in Carrd, Framer, Webflow, and Shopify. Use your own page brief. Keep the current site when it already meets the visitor job.

Published jobs and prices

Carrd Pro Standard remains $19 per year on the existing first-site comparison. Webflow Site prices above were recaptured with billed-yearly figures on https://webflow.com/pricing. Shopify prices were recaptured with Pay yearly selected on https://www.shopify.com/pricing: Basic $29/mo, Grow $79/mo, Advanced $299/mo, plus a page promo of 3 days free then $1/month for 3 months. Monthly-toggle prices were not shown in that yearly view. Annual equivalents used here are $348, $948, and $3,588 before tax.

A compact Carrd page is still the small-site default

If the visitor job is a short offer, a few examples, and one contact or booking action, Carrd Pro Standard already lists a custom domain and native form at $19/year. Do not treat Shopify as a larger Carrd. Do not treat Webflow Basic as required for that compact page.

Framer Basic remains the documented first-site option when separate pages or CMS collections are the job and the $120 yearly invoice fits. Webflow is recorded here as an alternative Site family, not as a tested winner over Framer.

Webflow when the job is a Site or CMS

Webflow's pricing page lists a free Starter Site that publishes to a webflow.io subdomain. Custom domain is listed on Basic ($15/mo billed yearly). Basic is described as being for simple sites that do not need a CMS. Premium ($25/mo billed yearly) lists Webflow CMS. Ecommerce Site plans are a separate family and are not this store comparison.

Skip Webflow when Carrd Pro Standard already covers the page. Skip Webflow Basic when structured collections are required.

Website, email, and courses in one system

systeme.io is another option when a launch needs a website, email follow-up, and course delivery together. Its pricing page groups these capabilities in one platform and offers a free starting point. This addition was checked against vendor documentation on 2026-09-20; we have not run a course or measured email delivery on the service.

Before moving an existing site, build one sample landing page and a short course lesson. Test signup, unsubscribe, lesson access, and the mobile page. Check the current contact, automation, course, and custom-domain limits for your chosen plan. Compare the full bill with the services you would actually replace, including payment-processing costs.

Ask how you can export contacts, course materials, and purchase records before committing. Keep original lesson files and document your domain settings. A compact portfolio with one contact action does not need a course platform; keep the existing site when it already works.

  • Consider systeme.io when the same launch needs pages, email follow-up, and lessons.
  • Evaluate the free starting point before importing an audience or changing DNS.
  • Verify exports and the cost at your expected contact count before replacing separate tools.

Shopify when the job is a store

Use Shopify only when the site must sell products. The recaptured pricing view showed Basic, Grow, and Advanced with Pay yearly selected. That is a hosted store invoice, not a compact landing-page invoice. Card rates and extras sit on top of the plan price.

Skip Shopify when a Carrd or Webflow page already does the visitor job. The $1/month promotional period is not the qualifying full-price plan used in this table.

  • Write the required visitor action before comparing builders.
  • Match the qualifying plan to that action, not to the cheapest badge.
  • Keep the current site when no named gap exists.

Questions before you decide

Is Shopify a stronger Carrd for a one-page site?

No. Shopify Basic is documented as a store plan. Carrd Pro Standard remains the compact custom-domain page on this publication. Keep the current page if it already covers the visitor action.

Does Webflow Basic include CMS collections?

The reviewed pricing page described Basic as a plan for simple sites without a CMS, and listed Premium with Webflow CMS at $25 per month on annual billing. Check which content features your site needs and the full invoice before choosing.
