The two plans, limit by limit
Framer's pricing page, accessed 13 October 2026 with the default yearly billing view, listed Basic at $10 per month and Pro at $30 per month. The page states that all prices are monthly and billed according to the billing cycle selected at checkout, with sales tax added at checkout. On yearly billing that is $120 and $360 a year before tax. Confirm the cycle and total on the checkout screen, not the card. [1]

Count collections, not pages
A collection is a content type: blog posts, case studies, team members, testimonials, job listings. Basic allows two. A freelancer portfolio with case studies and a blog already uses both. Adding testimonials as a third collection is a Pro decision, even if the site has twelve pages in total.
Before choosing, write each repeated content type on its own line and estimate items for the next year. Thirty static pages is generous for a small business site; two collections is not generous for a site that publishes several kinds of repeated content. If you can fold a content type into a static section instead, Basic may still fit.
Redirects make Pro a migration plan
On 13 October 2026, site redirects appeared on the Pro card and not on the Basic card. If you are moving an existing site with old URLs that people bookmark or that search engines already show, that row matters more than page count. Map old URLs first using our Framer redirect guide, then decide whether the redirect list justifies Pro for at least the migration period. [1]
A brand-new site with no old URLs does not need redirects on day one. A rename of an existing page later may. Check the plan you will be on when that change happens.
Bandwidth: one month of grace, then a decision
Framer's FAQ says some limits, like bandwidth, can be exceeded for one month, with an email notification so you can upgrade. Other limits prompt an upgrade inside Framer when reached. Treat 50 GB on Basic as a real ceiling for a site that hosts large video or image galleries, and as a remote concern for a text-led service site. [1]
We have not measured bandwidth for any site in this guide. Your analytics history (30 days on Basic) is where to watch the trend after launch.
Worked example: a studio site
Hypothetical: a two-person design studio plans a home page, services, about, contact, 14 case studies and a monthly journal. Case studies and journal posts are two collections, about 40 items in year one. Static pages are under 10. That fits Basic at $120 a year on yearly billing.
The studio is also replacing an older site with 25 indexed URLs. Redirects are listed on Pro. Two reasonable choices: pay for Pro ($360 a year on yearly billing) to preserve old links, or keep the old URL structure identical so few redirects are needed. Our pick is to map the old URLs first; if more than a handful need new destinations, the redirect row is worth paying for.
Who should skip both
Free remains useful for designing before paying: the FAQ lists 10 CMS collections, 1,000 pages and one free locale to try on Free projects, but a custom domain needs a paid plan. [1]
- A single landing page with one form: Carrd Pro Standard lists custom domains and forms at $19 a year. [2]
- A store that sells physical products: use a commerce plan, not a CMS plan.
- A site that already works on its current host: no plan limit is a reason to move by itself.
Questions before you decide
Is the $10 Framer Basic price monthly billing?
The pricing page defaults to a yearly billing view and states prices are monthly figures billed on the cycle chosen at checkout. Read the cycle and total at checkout before paying.
Can I add CMS items to Basic instead of upgrading?
The add-on prices listed on 13 October 2026 appeared in the Pro column with Pro maximums. Do not assume Basic can buy the same add-ons; check the checkout options.
